A graduate of musical theatre in New York, trained in classical verse and prose in the UK and Morris and Meisner technique in Australia, Charlie has worked both nationally and internationally playing roles as varied as her background from Sally Bowles to Captain Hook.

Recent roles include playing lead vocalist Helia the Sun Goddess onboard award winning Celebrity Edge's immersive theatre production Eden: Revelations - from the creators of Queen of the Night and The Box NYC. 

She also played Mary in Women in Jeopardy with Cortland Repertory Theatre where she received a Syracuse Area Live Theatre Awards Lead Actress nomination, and toured the US and Canada as the Host of Erth's Prehistoric Aquarium Adventure and it's prequel show, Dinosaur Zoo Live - called an “extraordinary spectacle” by the New York Times and a “rival (to) The Lion King” by the Chicago Tribune.

She is also a voice actor, featured in video games such as Figment 2: Creed Valley by Bedtime Games (Winner of Best Audio - TCA Indie Game Awards) and Zio and the Magic Scrolls by Super Planet. She is also featured in podcasts such as Black Market Leadership and The Underground Hour Podcast, in feature films such as Answers by Scott Tinkham, as well as working on numerous projects for radio, apps, E-Learning, IVR, commercials and audiobooks.

She has additional training in dance (ballet, tap, ISTD modern and contemporary) by Carol and Gilli O Connell (Sydney Dance co., Queensland Ballet Co, Opera Australia), Music Theatre Dance with Billy Johnstone (CATS - Broadway), Catherine D'Lish (burlesque workshop), and showgirl technique by Sabrina Jacquier - Parr (Principal Dancer for Le Lido De Paris). She also trained in basic film stunts with Colin Handley at the Australian Stunt Academy including high falls (up to three stories high), human torch, speedboat falls, car drags/ moving car roll outs, weapons and wirework, as well as training for the screen with Allison Cratchley (SanctumWater Rats and All Saints), Bianca Biasi (Home and AwayWhite Collar BlueThe Junction Boys ) at The Actor's Hub, the Actor's College of Theatre and Television and the Screen Actor's Workshop.

 

Outside of performing, Charlie likes creating surreal illustrations, photography, learning martial arts, creating fashion and costumes, composing fantasy music and traveling whenever and wherever she can.
